14 Foods that Cleanse the Liver"
The liver is a very special organ, and if truth be known probably the one most abused by most of us. Everybody seems to be taxing their liver, those personal life chooses we make. Some of us work the poor gland in overdrive. That's why it is important to know what foods are good to eat, for a healthy liver.
The drinking of alcohol (how many of y'all can drink just one), recreational drug use, prescription drugs, and even the toxic poisons sprayed on our fruits and vegetable. All over work our poor livers.
The liver has a lot work to do to keep us healthy. So let's have a look and see how we can help keep our liver healthy.
The liver plays a vital role in our digestive system. It has a wide range of functions. Detoxification is one of it's major functions (at least in my opinion, since we live in a toxic world), it also produces protein, and biochemicals necessary for digestion.
This over worked gland also play a major role in our metabolism, some of it's functions includes storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, hormone production, and of course, as previously mentioned, detoxification.
The liver produces bile, an alkaline compound which aids in digestion via the emulsification of lipids. The liver's highly specialized tissues regulate a wide variety of high-volume biochemical reactions, including the synthesis and breakdown of small and complex molecules, many of which are necessary for normal vital functions. Estimates regarding the organ's total number of functions vary, but textbooks generally cite it at around 500 or so.

Indeed, liver is very important for us. Because it can detoxicate the food, which we intake. And drinking wine or beer can destroy liver a lot.
